9:15 that happens bc back in the day Taylor wasn’t as develop vocally speaking her technique lack fundamental thecnique and when singers are not as developed as they should be they have the tendency to sing with a raised larynx kinda like Britney spears bc they lack control over that so they don’t use they truly voice and nowadays since she is in her prime vocally and she finally discoverd her truly voice and her technique has been refined over the eras tour she become more aware of a lot of unhealthy vocal vices that limit her voice and her capacity to story telling so probably sound childish become she is trying to imitate her younger voice that wasn’t as develop as its now and probably add new things and fixed some others that her old label don’t alowed to do like some harmonys and slightly different details so if u compare how she sings this songs on the eras tour u may notice how warm deep and Suportted her voice sound this days in comparison to her old performance so yes I’m kinda proud of her

Im gonna partially disagree with the comments here, I think listening through the first time with no video is better, as people tend to get too focused on the video to actually pay attention to the lyrics and try to interpret things. But AFTER the first listen, id recommend watching the videos in order.

My favourite album from Melanie is Portals, but i would say the fan favourite is probably Crybaby. Personally, I think her other two albums have less creepy music but Portals probably has the creepiest visuals. (her other two albums also have creepy visuals though)

%100 need to watch the movie to get the full experience of the k-12 album (its like a Disney musical where the songs tell parts of the story). Also, keep in mind for the k-12 the "deluxe" songs are really the songs that didn't fit in the movie budget. K-12 was originally like 3-4 hours long but the people paying didn't think it was good enough for that much run time.
